In week 41, the beco was under attack on many fronts. I distracted myself with language lessons and new tourist friends.
In Week 40, I continued to enjoy My Incompetent Portuguese Slumlord’s antics, while working to further local coffee art talent. As a bonus, I was introduced to some of the best local food in an unexpected way.
In week 39, I continued to learn new things about the local cafe, which seems to be the living room of residents who live in the heart of the Alfama.
In week 38, I finally indulged my passion for football and made it to a local game, only to be met with a gun incident, Portuguese style.
